Well it’s been quite a while since I’ve blogged, and I figured that I
should probably rectify that situation! So here I am!
Since my last post so much has been going on and many things in my life
have changed. I’m now living back in sunny Brisbane (not so sunny today,
however the weather is making up for a lack of sun, with an excess of humidity
and heat…) and am seriously missing the UK and Europe and travelling in
general.
I recently moved into a little house on the North side of Brisvegas,
and am slowly accumulating bits and pieces to make this house home for the next
few months.
There is going to be some serious furniture buying over the next few
weeks which will all hopefully end up in a new house all of my own towards the
end of the year. I’ve been putting ideas
together for all the bits and pieces I would want in a house and trying to
amalgamate them into the perfect home.
Pinterest has been my best friend throughout this, and I pity the poor
architect/draftsperson and builder when it eventually comes to sitting down and
getting these billion ideas onto paper! I’ve unfortunately fallen in love with
floor to ceiling windows, like my apartment in Paris, giant bookcases, and oh
will there be a wardrobe and a half! Finally all my heels will have a home of
their own!
The little place I’m in at the moment, is seriously lacking storage.
When I say seriously lacking storage, that’s actually an absolute
understatement. I have two double door
cupboards in my bedroom and that’s about it. So naturally my floordrobe takes
over sometimes. This lack of storage has been a huge driving factor in wanting
to build a place of my own where everything has a place and to try to utilize
every possible place for wardrobes and storage. I’m even thinking secret
storage spots! YAY!
Along with the plan to probably build a new place this year, I’m also
planning a heap of travel for this year… So far my wonderful girlfriend Liv and
I have booked a trip to India for September which will be absolutely
amazing. We’re doing a tour through
Delhi, Jaipur, Agra and Bharatpur. I’m so excited!
So besides India this year, I’m hoping to get back to the UK, but I
suppose the biggest trip I’m planning this year will be a giant NYE in NYC! It’s going to be so exciting to see my
wonderful girlfriend Camille who I miss so badly! I’d also love to do Canada
this year, some more of the US and South America could also be on the cards! So
many places so little time! I’m thinking
of taking a few months off towards the end of the year to get through some of
this travel.
As well as planning all of this travel I’ve been working and baking and
cooking up a storm so far this year, and definitely over the Christmas period.
I think I must have made about 10 pavlova’s during the Christmas and New Year
break as well as more gingerbread cookies and rumballs that anyone can imagine.
Around Christmas time I was also delighted to catch up with my aunt and
wonderful friend Jo who was here from Spain and it’s no surprise I’m now dying
to get back to Coin to visit again!
That’s pretty much been the last few months. I’ve had a bit of car
trouble with the Rotor this year, and am thinking about acquiring a new Jeep
Wrangler so that I can go camping and diving and start to do a few other things
on my new years resolutions list! Haven’t made any decisions as yet, and I
probably need to go and test drive one before I get too far into the idea of a
Jeep, but that will be on my list of things to do over the next few weeks!
Well that’s it from me for the moment! Will keep you all updated as I
go along!
Hope everyone is safe and well!
